The Miscarriage Series was started on the back of a friend’s experience. Two friends were due at the exact same time, one experienced a miscarriage; the other went on to have a baby girl. The friend who miscarried ended up having 4 total before having a baby boy. It was heartbreaking to watch her experience and it caused me to reflect on the many people who desperately want a child that struggle with conception. I am currently working on Miscarriage 3, which is another glass torso with screen-printed song lyrics. Part of the lyrics are: "When all we wanted was the dream, to have and to hold that precious little thing, like every generation brings- a newborn hope unjaded by their years...."
